Oh he definitely was.

"Whatever I do to Pacquiao has already been done.  He's been beat on three occasions.  And if I knock him out I don't want the world to be shocked because he's been knocked out twice before, so it's nothing new."

 :D :D

That is some Grade A trash talking!
In. deed. :D

Not at all!

Do you think

Mayweather vs Pacquiao

Will be bigger than

Ali vs Frazier I

or

Ali vs Frazier III

There's just no way.  I believe it will be the biggest RECENT fight though.
I agree!! I was sort of surprised that the Pacquiao vs Cotto fight drew as much attention, seeing how boxing has basically taken a back seat to MMA. Speaking of MMA did you guys hear about Brock Lesnar(sp?)?

Well here we go. Mayweather talkin' and everybody wants to drink the Kool-Aid.

In order to say a fighter is great, you not only have to look at his skills, but the opponents he has faced.

Floyd Mayweather is possibly the most skilled fighter is boxing, but it means nothing when he has ducked every real threat walking around in his division.

Who? Well when Margorito was knocking everybody out and calling for Money May, he didn't want any part of him. They had 8 million on the table. A ton of money even for Floyd... and nobody knew he was probably cheating at the time so I don't want to hear it.

Cotto was there beating everybody, but Floyd kept saying Cottos' name wasn't big enough... like Margorito.

I could go on with names like Mosely and Paul Williams, but I think you all get the point.

Pacman has faced the likes of Barrera, Morales, and Marques when these guys were in there prime. (All Hall of Famers) He just ripped through maybe the best welter weight in the division.

I said all of that to say this, Mayweather needs to shut up and fight somebody. If not Pacman than Mosley or step to Paul Williams and really get cracked.

Well, I'm kinda jumping on the bandwagon.  I'm now starting to believe that Mayweather doesn't want to fight the top competition.

And there will always be doubt about his pound-for-pound status until he does.  I REALLY wanna see this fight, but I don't think it will happen.

This article was written last night.

"Mayweather initially demanded repeated blood testing right up to the day of the fight, while Pacquiao asked for a 30-day cutoff before the bout. Mayweather now claims he agreed to a 14-day cutoff compromise before the mediation session began, but Pacquiao still wouldn’t accept those terms.

“The truth is he just doesn’t want to take the tests” Mayweather said."

Top Rank boss Bob Arum was brutally frank about his former fighter on Wednesday night, telling The Associated Press that Mayweather is “a psychological coward who doesn’t want to fight anybody who has a chance of beating him.”

Ouch.

If you read my past responses, you can tell I was definetely in Mayweathers Camp, but now it does seem like he's dodging him.  From what I read, I think they do take blood "after" the bout so anything would be detected then.

If you are the best, you want to fight the best.

If he doesn't take the fight, won't he always question if he was the greatest (no matter how times he'll say it out of his mouth)?

You know the media and the public will say he's a 'punk'.

I just saw on ESPN news that Pacman has just agreed to fight Joshua Clottey on the same date (March 13th).

This could be a dangerous fight even for Pacman. I've followed Clottey for a few years now and he is a very good and hungry fighter. He's a very big welterweght with a defense that rivals Mayweather beleive it or not.

I'm still hoping Pacman and Mayweather will come to some type of agreement, but if they don't Pacman has already agreed to fight top notch competion in the division.

Let's see who Mayweather hand picks now.  :D

Clottey lost to Cotto who was destroyed by Pacman.

All of Mayweather's talk will now fall on deaths ears.  Pacman has shown that he wants to mix it up, but all Mayweather is doing is talking, blaming and doing more talking.

Well as for Pacman vs. Clottey being a boring fight... think about it. When is the last time you've seen a boring fight from Pacman. Also I see this as a more dangerous fight for Manny than Mayweather.

If Mayweather has any weakness it seems to be that he lacks that "killer instinct". He is known for getting in the ring with lesser opponents and simply not finishing them off and letting them hang around. He's content with pitty-patting his opponents all 12 rounds. This style is more favorable to Pacman... and styles make fights.

Now Pacman is about to fight Clottey, who is a guy that can probably fight at close to 160lbs. I still have not seen anyone hurt him... not even ole' concrete fist Margorito. This guy either wins his fights or pushes his opponents to the limit.

I'm picking Manny to win the fight, but I have my concerns and would not be surprised if he lost.

If you're looking for a boring fight wait for Money Mays' next hand pick.

...I seriously want Shane Mosley to buy some air-time on NBC, ABC, CNN, CBS, ESPN or Nickelodeon and challenge Mayweather.  I know that Shane can take the dodgeball champ down like the punk he is.

I wouldn't say more dangerous, but he's a good opponent.  He's fighting a worthy opponent and not just some chump to get a payday.

Yea.  Say what you want about Pac, but he's no coward.
