Sabian Vault Tour
« on: October 19, 2009, 03:26:39 PM »
Sup I just wanted to share my thoughts on the Sabian Vault Tour at Dale's Drumshop in PA this weekend.  This was my first, definitely not my last tour.  Just a quick blurb on what I thought was hot at the show for those who can't or couldn't make it

SANDBLASTED APX's-  Instead of the APX "finished" cymbals, they sandblast finish the Ozones, which gave em a raw look and a raw sound.  *****

HHX Evo's- They had a 17" Evo with the finish of a Ozone with out the holes. Kind of hard to descibe with out pics and the sound was a full dark and trashy tone.  *****

B8 Ozones-  A nice addition to the B8 family, normal B8 finish with Ozone Holes.  A Bright, Splashy, Trash Tone. ****

Ozone Chinas- They pretty much "Ozoned" a china of every series. Some were good others meh.  ***

I know there was more but people were buying them before I could hear them so...

These are my take on the best cymbals at show if anyone else attended I'd like to see your take

...yeah, we had the Zildjian Tour come through O-town a few weeks back.  I missed it but heard about a lot of the goodies.  When Sabian decides to come through, I'll make sure to be in attendance.

...those tours are very informative.  8)

So are they gonna start adding some of the custom items from the tour to stock on their product line up, or are those just special items for the tour??

Da_Drumma - You may order those models as a custom order from Sabian.  The prices coincide with the cymbal size and series.

Thanks Jay, good looking out dude. I'm going to have to call them.

No problem.  You'd have to contact your local Sabian dealer to place those types of orders.  You can't order through Sabian directly. Click on the picture to find some of the ones from this year:
