Nice passing chord. I play a similar chord, but not in that inversion. Have to add that to my repetoire.

what inversion do u play?

I use this inversion:  D / C-E-Gb-Ab

I think of it as an Ab augmented chord (augmented 1 chord) with a D (#4 or b5) in the bass. That way I can play the augmented chord in any inversion (and any key) and it works just the same; different sounds of course but you get the same effect.

With this inversion, you already have 2 of the 3 notes you need for the next chord:

Db / C-F-Ab
