T-Block, how would that apply to the way this songs is written out? I don't see any "notes" by themselves to indicate bass notes...??
Basically, if u don't see any slashes, then the first note of the chord symbol is the bass note. Examples:
Eb = Eb major chord, Eb in the bass (Eb / Eb-G-Bb)
EbM7 = Eb major 7th chord, Eb in the bass (Eb / Eb-G-Bb-D)
If you see a slash, the note on the right is the bass note. Examples:
Eb/G = Eb major chord, G in the bass (G / Eb-G-Bb)
EbM7/G = Eb major 7th chord, G in the bass (G / Eb-G-Bb-D)
What I mean by notes by themselves is no slashes. Check this link out for more help with chords symbols:

Abmaj7 = Ab major 7th chord, Ab in the bass
Abm7 = Ab minor 7th chord, Ab in the bass
Bbm7 = Bb minor 7th chord, Bb in the bass
Eb7 = Eb dominant 7th chord, Eb in the bass
Bb7 = Bb dominant 7th chord, Bb in the bass
Db9 = Db dominant 9th chord, Db in the bass
Cm7 = C minor 7th chord, C in the bass
F7 = F dominant 7th chord, F in the bass
Fm7 = F minor 7th chord, F in the bass

Once u get good at interpreting chord symbols, u will be able to read lead sheets.
Now, in order to get the chords to sound like the CD, u gonna have to play the right inversions. U get that from knowing the melody notes. The melody notes will be the top note of the chord, then u chord underneath that note.
Hope this helps!!!
