TUNNING A SIDE SNARE! HELP
« on: December 29, 2004, 04:22:48 PM »
Hey everyone-
I was wondering how your side snare should sound compared to your regular snare. How would you tune the side snare? Should it sound higher or lower than your regular snare? I wanted to know because I'm thinking about getting one for the church...maybe a PDP side snare? How does that sound. I need your opinions!

TUNNING A SIDE SNARE! HELP

Even though a lot of people i've heard with side snares tune them higher, i think it's totally up to you. Most side snares are smaller in size as well, so that might have an effect on how you tune them. To me, it doesn't make sense to have a 6x10 tuned lower than, let's say, a 5x14.
My goal as a musician is to be better than myself.
