New Album
« on: January 12, 2009, 08:13:35 AM »
Hello LGM family.  I have been busy finishing up a project which is why I haven't been here in a while.  I'm glad to say it is DONE!!  The album drops this month on the 24th in Milwaukee,WI with national distribution coming soon afterwards.  It also will be available on iTunes, CD Baby, as well as other INTERNET sources.  The Name of the album is AM:PM "It's Our Time" featuring national artists such as Ricky Dillard, Nikki Ross, Maurice Griffin, Lillian Lloyd, and others.  Phil Lassiter adds to this with his masterful horn lines.  You can hear their single as well as some snippets at www.myspace.com/minanthonymcgaheeandthevoyces.  Be blessed!

It was a host of musicians you guys may not know but...

(Arranger)Bass/Synths/Some organ/Drum Programming-Myself
Keys-Pastor Cymaron Dawson(Iowa), Jeff Richardson(NY)
Guitar-Dan "Spiffy" Neuman(Also plays for The Remnant)
Drums-PJ Hill (Milwaukee)
Horns-Phil Lassiter
Additional Musicians-"Corn" Evans and Tory Tate

I tried to do something that everyone would appreciate while trying to maintain the "churchy" element that the artist roots are based on.  I hope u will enjoy it!

Man, I'm listening to "Soldier" right now. It's sweet, Dude. Can't beat Phil Lassiter on the horns. He's the guy right now. You're not to shabby on bass, either.

This is off the topic, but are you the bass player on Ricky Dillard's "Unplugged"? I haven't seen that DVD in a while, but it looks like that was you (based on your avatar).

I'm on "Never Would" now. Your mix is clean.

You hit the nail on the head. Good job, Chief. Let me know when this thing releases nationally.

I gotta say Im proud of my city right now!  ;D

I didn't realize Sheen was from Milwaukee. I don't know why I thought you were from Indiana.  ?/? :-\

Ay, just add "byo" (by the way of) into that equation (e.g., Milwaukee byo Indiana)...   :D

Oh and there's a short instrumental on the project too where the drummer, PJ, gets a lil' "jazzy".
