CS: Engaging in the mandatory punishment that is apartment research. I can't wait until I make enough money to buy a house. Smh.

The amount of research remains the same.

Watching Aaron Hernandez on a continuous loop on ESPN.

That fellow is going to be on rewind replay all day.

Same with Twitter. :-\

At least with houses you don't have to worry about slumlords, neighbors are separated by yards and streets, and the vermin problem is easier to treat or avoid(I think), and I'm surrounded by people I care to be around...or surrounded by nobody if I have it like that.

Yep!

CS: At home after a good day at summer camp. 8 days down and 37 to go. It's going to be hot and long but the fulfillment of hopefully touching a life supercedes all of that.

So Michelle Williams recently came out with a gospel song called "If We Had Your Eyes". So when your local gospel station adds new music 5 - 8 months from now, do you think this song will be picked up?

If We Had Your Eyes - Michelle Williams [Audio - Available on iTunes]

You hold onto that.  ;D

I have a song in my head that I heard in a dream last night, but I can't find it. I know I've heard the song before and it sounds like I remember some sisters singing it (ex: the Brown Sisters). The only lyrics I remember are "If I hold my peace, let the Lord fight my battles"...which doesn't help much since there are tons of songs out there with those lyrics. It was a slow song that kind of went "If I hoooooo-oooooo-oooollddddd my peeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaccceeeee....Let the Lord fight my batttttttttttllleeeeeeessss..."

It's driving me crazy.  :-\

Use one of those phone apps that you sing into and it will tell you what the song is.

I never liked that image. Looks like the guy is engaging in self-abuse.

Had a dream I met TBlock and he was playing keys. His style was a little different than what I have heard him play from clips.

CS:  Feeling pretty talkative, lol.  I've been evaluating my big life change 60 days in.  It's definitely been more challenging emotionally than I anticipated.  I basically ripped myself from the comfort of friends and family who I've been with for over a decade, and planted myself where I have nowhere near that level of support.

I thank God for social networks, texting, cell phones etc. because I'm never totally disconnected from my real friends and genuine support... Even you guys, though I may have been absent a while.  I'm also thankful for prayer, because I know I have praying family and friends and there are times when I am sure that is what sustains me.

Lastly, I'm thankful for the process.  This move has isolated some weak areas in me, and forced me to really develop some areas that were not as obvious when I was in a more comfortable place.  Even the pain is bittersweet, like the pain of sore muscles after working out, it reminds me that I'm getting stronger, and that it will be worth it in the long run.

Sometimes my faith is tested.  It's easier to talk faith, than to walk faith, because in the midst of things, reality has a way of challenging even what you know.  I thank God that Jesus prayed for me and that God is keeping me day by day, moment by moment.

Just thought I'd share, lol.

Thanks for sharing!  I'm at the office, so I don't have the ability to respond as I'd like.  But, I just want to encourage you.  One day, you'll look back upon this experience as one of the best of your life, in terms of how it helped you grow.

Thanks brothers!  I believe that, I feel it just beneath the surface... As my grandma would say... something down inside keeps telling me to go 'head!

GLORY!!!!!

I hope to get there one day :)

Every month I just look at my monthly fixed incomes and imagine if I didn't have these bills what could I do?

right now I just have my home, and student loans. I gave up my car and I pay off my credit card every month (generally it is locked away in a safe)

Seeing you are married you and your wife can work together. Once we pay off these homes that's it for me. I'm paying cash for cars now. Only other way is if I borrow my own money. I have a bank account that will give you a loan on your own money. They just lock the funds and free it by the amount of the car note each month. I don't have a credit card. I saw that my wife had a balance on hers so we are going to have to fix that. Only reason I would use a credit card is to reserve a room or a car rental. I really don't like using my debit card for that but I can always set up a bank account for that specific purpose. Next I may put a lock on my credit. I've got to check that to make sure there isn't any funny business going on.
