Thank you blyempowered. You're right. When I look back, I know how it made me feel every time I crossed a hurdle and I felt like I did something so great. lol It just feels like it's been too long since I've been able to cross another hurdle.
Thank you phbrown. You're right too. I'm proud of myself for learning what I have and I feel like I have come a long way. I know every scale, I know the major triads, minor triads, I understand 7ths (just trying to get them ingrained in my brain), I understand the number system, I hace accumulated a lot of traditional hymns that use the number chords so I can play them in any key. The problem is, I don't know how to transition from just hitting the chords on the beat, to making it sound like I'm playing the piano. I've been searching for the answer, everything I try just sounds like a childrens song or like Pat Boone, or worse. I know I'll get there one day, just gotta find the road that gets there first.
