Well we finished 2nd again for the second straight year. There was nothing but positive vibes sent my daughter's way. I'm very proud of her. She did everything I could ask of her. I am disappointed only in myself, although I didn't let her see or know it. The girl who won had a poem with better content than ours. I looked it up and it was on a fourth grade level and delivered quite well by the second grader. I should know better. I feel like a coach who let down the team with a bad call. Nevertheless, it has only served to strengthen our resolve. I'm already researching poems on a 5th grade level for her to do next year. I am most pleased by how much she improved from last year even though the results were the same.
My daughter won the contest once again for her class. Next Friday she will compete against the other 3rd grade winners in her school. We did due diligence this year and the poem we picked for her is on a 5th grade level (Television - by Roald Dahl). We are going for the gold once again this year.
Second place again in the district. That's 3 years in a row coming in second and the second year in a row losing to the same girl who did the same poem as last year. We did however close the gap. She edged us out whereas last year it was an overwhelming victory.
What's up fam? I haven't been on in a long while. Just checking in to see who's still around. I've recently taken up the bass, so I'm going to check the archives to see if I can pick up some good nuggets.
Hey LL. Will you be joining the old crew for fantasy football this year?
