Bought that $99 Nokia 520 windows 8 phone for work. Its not all that bad so far. :)

We all can still try to meet once we get settled in. Or at least I can still check in on getting an lgm meet set up.

Sure we can. I hope to have my own vehicle sooner rather than later. That will make meeting up a whole lot easier. The toughest part of losing my husband has been uprooting our lives and starting over again in a new place. The main thing is that God has given us the grace to keep going.

That is an understatement.

Been scratching my head trying to figure out why its been so slow these past couple of months. 3 years ago this place was on and poppin'! Has the forum culture gone away?

The regulars have really thinned out.  And the ones still around seem to come through at odd times, so there's never the consistent replies that keep things going.  I blame Facebook.  :D  But I'm a little over FB these days. It's only a necessity to keep up with family and stuff.  Maybe I'll make a commitment to post more on LGM.

I really blame Twitter and facebook. It seems like people increasingly want really short bursts of communication, rather than an extended conversation. Facebook and Twitter are like hits of coke: instant gratification.

In the case of LGM, ti takes too long to get that high you want.

c.s. feeling apathetic about the church I attend :( we just finished our annual vacation bible school and there was just poor planning all about the first need we just assigned random people to be teachers. One person left to go out of town on the last night. So I asked a number of people if they would be wiling to fill in ... all just gave me a



we had one college kid who was responsible for 20 something kids under the age of 10 and no one was willing to step up and help her out.

I really just wanted to walk out and find some people who wanted to work so i can work with them instead of banging my head against this same wall of wanting to do something better but not being able to

I guess that is my biggest gripe about small churches. People have to wear so many different hats they can't focus on being excellent on just one hat and then when it gets really small you start to struggle with just being acceptable sometimes because you start to get pulled in so many different directions.

I'm back home at my large church waiting to see if I want to stay. Seems like not much has changed. I do plan to get out more musically though.

Yeah, things have changed a lot since I first joined.  Back then, I was self-employed and was able to keep a chatroom window open while I worked.  Nowadays, I work for someone else, and so many sites are disallowed- or parts of sites aren't allowed.  I can't view any of the pics in the random pics thread, for example. 
I miss that chatroom..
