You may be on to something there brother. As far as general excitment for the release is concerned, most older people share my lack of enthusiasm for yet another Superman movie.
And, that's a BIG part of the problem. They're doing it, again, and re-telling the same old story. And, why use Zod so early? You have no place to go put down (as in 'down to Earth').
At that age, I can understand why the movie would be appealing. It contained a lot of blowing up of stuff and all that.
However it was a terrible movie.
Yea, kids don't care why stuff blows up just as long as it blows up. Most adults need a justifiable reason for the destruction of a building.
