Speaking of FB, something strange happened last night. You guys tell me what you would do.

This young guy that I mentored a few years ago left a post on my wall that said something along the lines of: "I have a vision for a ministry I'd like to start and I'd like your help on it." (That's my best recollection of what it said, but those weren't the exact words. Now, I've known this guy for about 6 or 7 years. Nothing but good things to say about him. He has a great reputation - which is what matters to me more than mostly anything else - and he works in excellence).

I responded: "Well if it's God and it's [John], I'm in. :-) Let me know how I can support. Love you!"

And then the post was deleted.

I thought maybe he would inbox me or text me or email me or something. I was thinking maybe he didn't want other people to see what he was doing? Idk... but he never mentioned it. Should I ask him what's up? I just thought that was so weird.

CS: Tired but not complaining. Been a busy day. Working with children from 8 to 5 and then 2 rehearsals with youth and young adult choir. Thankful for all the opportunities I have to serve God's creation.

T-Block cooked some of the best burgers today. They were so moist, and juicy, and fat, and.....OMG I 4got where I was!!!

THE EFFECT OF CULTURE ON PERFORMANCE.... simply astounds me.

Also astonishing is the fact that Black/Pentecostal folks can have a fellowship 'service' on the TELEPHONE and still find a way to fluff it up!!!!

I'm just so..... I don't even know what I am right now. It's too funny for me to be mad. So my brother was asked to minister on some weekly call some guy has. The call was to start at 10:00p EST (the host is in a diff time zone).

It is 10:46. They started on time. My brother still has not been given "the mic."

They started with an opening song (which was literally the entire length of a William Murphy song). Then he opened in prayer. Then a lady read a scripture. Then he played two more songs (I guess that was P&W). Then he gave exhortation. Then he played another song (I thought that was the sermonic selection). Then he began to worship and command us to worship. It was a debo-type order. Then, he introduces my brother but says that he feels led to worship some more, so he speaks in tongues for like 5 minutes straight and keeps saying that he feels God doing something and stop thinking about what you have to do after the call, etc.... right now, stop what you're doing and worship God, I feel the anointing, etc.... then he breaks out in ANOTHER song (which he actually sang instead of playing). Then a lady on the call starts harmonizing, but the timing is off... just major disaster.

It's 10:49 and the guy is still exhorting.... This started at 10:00 on time. IT'S A PHONE CALL!!!!!!!! YOU DON'T NEED PRELIMINARIES! OMG.

My longsuffering was a 3.

(Gentleness was a 2). God help me.

He just finished preaching. It was pretty good, too. And I'm so pleased that he only took 17 minutes. I traveled with him one time and he had the mic for 2 hrs and 42 min. I think I told y'all about that. It was just a few months ago.

Me too. Its ridiculous. I haven't had insomnia in years and for the past two weeks I have been unable to fall asleep before 4:00a. God help.
