I don't believe I ever answered your question. But I don't remember the name of the Android. It starts with an A, lol.

But I looovveee it! Unlike the BB I can actually quote on here and everything. I mean I can do it on the BB but everything is so small and it takes a while to load.

So, I'm very happy. 

ALSO.... I found 60 dollars on the ground. That made me very happy!  I always find money though.

Wow, $60!?!?  A friend of mine once found $200 in a bill clip at a gas station.  We were kids, so we spent it on a bunch of junk food.  LOL

Re: the part in bold, that's weird.  I've always been able to quote on my BB's.  I think it depends upon which browser you choose.

Yeah, but the browser options that allow you to quote are slow, unless you download Opera Mini, which isn't slow, but a lot of people don't love it (like me). I prefer the regular BB browser to every browser I've tried, I just have to realize that there are some things I won't be able to do with it easily.

That hasn't been my experience either.  I dunno.  Maybe it varies by model or carrier.

So your Android browser is the same speed as your BB browsers? (Not Opera, which is an app).

Wow. Maybe it's a DC/MD/VA thing then. Maybe the network up there is faster? I've had BB with Verizon and still have it with Sprint and T-Mobile, and my browsers have never been as fast as those of my Android-having friends.

My point was that the browser options I chose did not have an effect on the speed of the browsing experience.  The network I was on, however, did make a difference.  So, to your point, browsing on an Android phone on a 4G network should be faster than browsing on a BB on a 3G or 2G network.

I have no idea, honestly.  That wasn't the point I was making originally.  The only point I was making originally was that the browser option I chose made no difference.

But, correct me if I'm wrong, most Android phones operate on 4G networks, right?  That's not the case with BB's, at least not with the older ones I've used.  Even my Bold 9780 is on a 3G network.  So, if 4G is available in an area (It is in DC), then Android phones will operate on the 4G network.  My Bold will operate in 3G, regardless.  So, the browsing experience should be faster for the Android.  Having said all that, I don't browse too much on my phone, so it doesn't really matter to me anyway.

Idk if most do, but I know some do. I also know that in my experience, my 3G BB was slower than any friend's 3G Android or iPhone.

But I think Britt's point (and everyone else who says/has said the same thing) is that doing just about anything on the BB is slower (and in some cases, more troublesome) than doing it on an Android or iPhone, and this I believe to be true.

Bottom line is:

Yeah, blackberry used to be the cutting edge of smartphones....  However, when the iPhone and the Android phones came on the scene (actually, I think the first really good one was the sidekick and then a google phone or something from T-Mobile), blackberry really didn't keep up too good.  They've now come out with some phones on that level, but it took them a while to catch up, and a lot of people already quit them and moved on.  And I still don't think they're the best or second-best at it nowadays.

Blackberry is way behind the curve (no pun intended). Seriously, look at a Blackberry in comparison to an iPhone or Droid. There is no comparison.... Not to mention, all of its appeal is gone. No one cares about BBM anymore. No one cares about their whack operating system. Their apps are sub-par. Blackberry was cool in 2009. But it's 2011. Someone forgot to tell RIM that they actually have to IMPROVE their product over the years, not rely on the notion that it's the 'best business phone' (whatever that means)
