In my child hood days I had close cousins. I haven't been as close since 7th grade. *shrug*

I have an older sister. But since we were so far apart in age, we weren't that close. She went out a lot, and then my mom sent her away to live with some people. When she came back home, she was moving in and out the house.
So, I pretty much felt like the only child.

There are some people that I look at and I can just tell after an interaction or two that they had no siblings. Some people really NEED siblings - for varying reasons.

Ummm.... okay so now they're putting the "Feed the Hungry Children" type images on the home page of CNN.com. Dang. I don't know how I feel about that. I mean, I guess it's news. But dang. Just dang.

OAN: Truly grateful I have the life I have. Grateful I was born in America in a thriving city in a thriving economy to working parents. Grateful I made it to adulthood and didn't die a torturous death resulting from starvation or preventable diseases. Just grateful. Period. I hated seeing that image, but it did make me say, "thank You."

CS: Going to get my nails and feet done. Ugh. I came all the way downtown thinking I had traffic court at 11, and it's not until 3. Now, I'm going all the way uptown to the nail salon, and still gotta come back down for court.

CS: Wondering what happens when the sons and daughters of these closeted gay men find out that their fathers are gay. I hope one of them writes a book about it. I'd be really interested in knowing how that journey plays out.
