1. A woman kills her 4 and 8 year old daughters, charged with murder, says it was the Prozac, found not guilty by reason of insanity, sentenced to 4 years in a mental institution. Her husband divorces her, marries another woman, has 2 kids with the other woman. He and the 2nd wife divorce. He remarries the first wife (the one that killed his two daughters). He then gets shared custody of his 2 children with the second wife. Sooooo... those children are now living with a stepmother who killed her own children. Wow. Tough one.
2. A guy takes his stepson hunting in a swamp/wilderness area on a Sunday. They are ready to go, half a mile back to the car. They get lost. The stepson is tired and not feeling well, so the stepfather carries him as far as he can through the swamp... then he can't carry him anymore. He lights a fire and goes to get help. His GPS battery dies. Flashlight batteries die. Takes him 6 hours to get out of the swamp. He finally gets to help on Monday morning. They get back to the son on Monday afternoon. He is face down in 12-18 inches of water. Dead. Stepfather is charged with felony murder and 5 other felonies.
