If you're an Organist who spends hours a week on a B3, you'd probably be able to tell.

...And yes, I completely agree that MOST people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.  Some boards have very realistic sounds.

How many people in a congregation could tell this isn't a Hammond:

Question:  Could you midi out the upper manual and have a dual manual setup?

Yea. But the electro only supports 2 manuals, so you'd have to sacrifice bass pedals. The XK3 supports all 3...but then it doesn't have piano sounds, and is about 3x heavier.

The electro is only 11lbs!

Doesent the XK1 have a piano sound? I wouldnt expect it to be great, but its better than nothing

I played on the XK1 two days ago (guitar center).

Bro, just act like that piano sound isn't even there.  For real.  UNUSABLE.   :-X

The stock piano on the Nord isn't much better, but there are Grand Pianos available for download at Nord's website.  I've heard they're a little better.

I was playing the Rhodes and Clav almost as much as the Organ.  Right out of the box the Rhodes on the Nord is as good as you'll find on many high-level synths, and the Clav is head and shoulders ABOVE them!!!

The Electro piano is actually not that bad. It also has those eq knobs that you referred to before.

You can't really get too much of an impression of the sound on a 61-key keyboard.

I heard that the download piano is better too.

I just wish they had real drawbars and the cabinet was wood; not red plastic. And why is the leslie switch in the wrong place?

^^^ It's wood on the sides.

Anyway, the case has nothing to do with the sound. :P

Don't worry about the leslie switch...you can use a sustain pedal to change leslie speeds.   ;)

Yes it does. Why do you think B3s sound beter than C3s and a100s? :D

Seriousely, I just like that classic look of the wood veneer. Thats a deal breaker if I'm gonna spend that kinda money. But I do like the versatility if the nord. I guess you cant have it all....
