The Organ "Lazer" effect
«

How do you make the organ sound like lazers?(yes, I know I spelled "lasers" wrong, but spelling it with an "s" just didn't properly describe it,
)
I was listening to Moses Tyson, and I heard him do it.
Here's the video:
PRAY FOR ME
He does it around 3:01-3:04
I'm assuming he's doing rapid glissandos, but everytime I try to do it, it just sounds like I'm sliding my hands across the keys(and I can hear all the notes).

A big part of that is in your drawbar settings. you should try it with only the 8' drawbar out (008000000) or like this (008030000), having the 2' 2/3 drawbar out in addition to the 8' will give a different sound. You can also get that sound by using the Ab preset on the lower manual. You can also try it with percussion...
Watch this video to see his hands when he plays.

At 3:00 he starts swiping the organ from right to left. That is how he is making the Laser effect. His draw bar settings...probably for lower manual are set for a mellow sound. But its just a quick swipe...or you could do a slow swipe...depending on what you are going for...

Thank You everybody, I have it perfected! I had been trying to figure it out for years, I didn't know the secret was in the drawbar settings, but I had them set just right, and was firing lazer beams like my name was Marvin the Martian!

You gotta have some pretty fast hands to do it.
Derrick Jackson does it in the first two seconds of this video for the GE Patterson Tribute album:
