Songs Learnt

Just curious. I know most of you ladies and gentleman play for churches, so are the songs you learn usually ones that are done in church or are they just songs you want to learn?

 I don't play for a church so I just try to learn songs that I want to play, which could be the reason for  people not knowing some songs.

Well, Its a mix of both. I would say majority of the songs I do learn is for the church, because I never want to stop the flow of the service cause I don't know the song. So I would suggest whatever church you start playing for ask the praise and worship team, leader, or layperson what songs are sung in that church. Then in your own free time learn songs that you want to play.
