Thanks man..I look foward to the dvd tuts 8)

Guys, I really like this thread--Today was so amazing..I played most of the stuff here from that 1st post [E/G-C-D-G etc] to Tkeys' & anything Icould remember then..

Now you guys can guess how spoilt the people were hearing all these sweet sounds..
Thanks guys, keep posting.

Oh, my sis did a duet & she added this great ending:

In Ab:

this is how it works--it's either you play the 1 chord to end or you omit it & go straight to this?

(Ab/C-Eb-Ab)   () = you can omit this chord
Fb/Cb-Fb-Ab   [#5 major chord, any inversion you want really]
Gb/Db-Gb-Bb   [b7 major chord]
Ab/Eb-Ab-C     [1 major chord]

(end or do a descending run & repeat or simply repeat)

alternatively, you can start from the #1 chord to the 4 major chord..from there you can play in the 4 key or stay on that key you were in.

A/A-C#-E
B/B-D#-F#
C#/C#-F-G#

(repeat or end)

hint: remember to use this as a "treat" so that people aren't spoilt ;)
what it is is playing major chord of a whole tone scale...very majestic.

I also like to play this 1-5-4 :

in C

[1,2,3] C/E-G-C   []= count
[,4]     G/ D-G-B
[1]      F/C-F-A  or F/F-A-D

(repeat)
to have fun with this, you have to play different inversions each time..
it also sounded really majestic today.

& guess what I used for preacher chords today...

in C

C/G-C-E
C/--
Bb/G-C-E
Bb/--
A/G-C-E
A/--
D/F-A-D
G/F-G-D
C/G-C-E

but then of course it's one chord per time & wait for preacher to catch breath & then come in & cycle again..
Also nice for talk music.

please spill some more 8)
