:'( I sat on that porch.  On the real, IF you EVER get the chance to visit the Sabian factory, by all means MAKE IT HAPPEN! You'll be glad you did. They shed so much knowledge up there and the people are soooooooo nice. That trip changed my life. I gotta go back!

When I went, it was because I placed in the top 10 in Sabian cymbal sales at Sam Ash. They paid for the trip and I hung out with other Sam Ash employees from across the country. At the time, they said anyone could schedule a visit. Meductic is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy up there. You can fly in to the town or fly to Maine and drive in. We flew to Maine and someone picked us up. I'm not sure which way is best, but I'd chance flying all the way in. I'd rather not deal with U.S. Customs on the highway. I'd rather deal with them at the airport. Give them a call.

I've been twice myself and it changed my musical life. I only play Sabian and will only play Sabian. Back in the mid 90's I also went with Sam Ash. They brought us up on a tour bus which was very cool. Toured the entire factory in Canada. We had meeting on how they could improve on sales and i sat right next to Bob. Then they took us over to the cymbal vault to pick out some cymbals. Imagine picking out a crash, not from 5 they might have at your local dealer but from 200 cymbals. They had thousands and thousands of cymbals. AMAZING!!! Then we went and had lunch with the Zildjians at their house. I went to NAMM 2 years ago and had the chance to talk to Mr. Zildjian and he remembered me. Cursed me out cause i had on a NY Yankees jersey lol. He is 1 of the nicest and finest men u would ever meet. I sat on that porch too. Then to top it off on the way home we stopped at vic Firth and toured their factory and had lunch with Vic. I have a bunch of pics. Sabian is the best cause they are made by great people who love thier product.
