phil
Hey Phil!!!!!!!!!! Dude, first of all I'm humbled by your comments dude. I've been working hard and hopefully it shows. Just trying to really clean myself up, but more importantly break myself down. I feel we should always be breaking ourselves down. There's
always something that needs to be tweaked. It's all about the details. However, THANKS man and I'll keep posting stuff up periodically. Got some ideas for the next couple, but that probably won't be for at least a month or so. Don't want cats to get sick of me LOL.
This dial up is an abomination unto God I only seen less than a half of the first clip so far.
Man, I remember those days!!!!! 30 minutes for a 10 MB clip LOL!!! Dude, cross over to the light LOL!! When you get them downloaded hit me up and let me know what you think....
MUCH RESPECT DOZA!!! Thank you for the encouragement. You and I have talked already... (Things are coming together).
You are talking my kinda talk now doc! Strokes, colors, prep movements..... KEEP FUELING THE FIRE!
OH MAN that's right Sabe, hit me up on the PM's and let me know how that's going? I would love an update. Man as far as the talk...bro that's what I'm about. I feel like all most cats talk about is technique and how fast they want to become, but what we really need to be talking about are the intangibles. The touch, finesse, TEXTURES, how to actually hit the drum, letting the stick vibrate, letting the rebound do it's job. Our job is to learn how to control that rebound and that's a lifetime study. It's about what do I need to do to compliment my other colleauges. What do I need to do to make the most out of this moment. That doesn't mean play 10,000 notes maybe it has to do with humbling yourself and saying man I don't even need to play here, it sounds great the way it is. When we put our selfish ways out of the way and respect the music that's when we starting becoming artist. We start seeing colors, visualising(sp?) what the phrase looks like, and how each note value feels!!!!!!!!!!! You start to understand all the strokes (like an artist does). You start to paint on that canvas (which in this case is music) and start creating different strokes to make the appropriate picture. Maybe you have to a minimalist or go the other extreme (but most of the time that's not good unless you're doing a drumsolo
). Man, I'm sorry I'm going off a little too much I'll leave it at. I get soooo worked up because I love music sooo much and the gift that He has lent me. So I'm really passionate about it. LOL!!! Gotta go, but take care and God Bless. Much love and respect to all.
