1. I don't know what color he was! And I don't claim to have any idea! In fact I wonder why so many of us think it matters what color he was......why do we even weigh in with 2 cents on the subject of his race? if you can.....please answer this seriously for me?

2. In my mind, if he came to save our souls......then these are the four most important things to know about him. it doesn't go to say that his sermons and character are least or not important. And I agree that there is much much to know about Jesus....... after all he came to show us the way too. But I do have to ask what in the world difference does it make what color he was?

I also heard him say that Jesus was poor...........I beg to differ! 
If you can feed thousands of families with 2 fishes and some biscuits......that's not poor!

Plus as far as Mary being a Jew, they did have Black Jews.  I went to school with a young man that was half Black/half Jewish.  You would not have known if he had not told you.  His mother was very light skinned as well.  So the possibility of a Black Jesus is a true possibility.  I don't care one way or another because whatever "color" he was, he died for you and me.  So Rev. And unfortunately, this thread proves that they're accomplishing their goal.    I just can't believe that folks really do buy all that stuff these campaigns put out, and I hate that as intelligent we are, we still fall for this foolishness.  Then again, I truly couldn't believe there'd be one person on earth who would buy all the propaganda they put out about his being Muslim.  But, I've come across more than one.

Rev. Wright's delivery(and this is based on the snippets that were played over and over and over and over, ad nauseum) was very "in yo' face", but I've heard other preachers say the same thing in a much less offensive way.

The media made a point of picking out parts that made him sound crude("Bill rode us dirty", "God bless America, God **** America").   
He was preaching to his congregation!  The message was for his flock within the confines of their church!  I'm sure they're used to their pastor, the public is not! 

It's a shame that Obama is now trying to put out fires that were intentionally started to distract him from his campaign.  He has so much to offer and now his whole campaign has been way laid by something that is not even America's business.  The man said he did not agree with everything that his pastor says what more can he do?

I won't necessarily go as far as to say he was "Black", but he was definitely colored in some type of way. You have "Black" people from all over the world that aren't African. There are "Black" Indians. There are "Black" Aborigine. There are "Black" South Americans. I tend to think that at that time, there were "Black" Hebrews....at least dark colored ones.

Ok. Maybe I'm reading too much into it then. It does state that it was "white like wool". Most people I know add the curly part to it too, since wool is curly. But you could be right.



But then if that's the case, then people can use the "head...white like wool" part and assume he was white too.

In all seriousness, this is my response to your inquiry.

Jesus's skin color is irrelevant to our soul's salvation.  But, if you want to know what's important about Jesus's skin color, you'll have to ask God why He thought it necessary to give a revelation to John concerning Jesus's outward appearance.

Dude, that's going to be an item of debate until the end of time.  I believe it comes from all races and nationalities wanting Jesus to look like them.  Some supremecists(including Black) have even tried to use this rationale to make their race look more superior. There will continue to be many opinions and decipherings on what the Bible's description really means.
