« on: January 31, 2008, 01:10:18 PM »
Do i need to know the tonic solfa at all? I mean, i know it already bt does it have any relevance to playing the keys at all?

Tonic Solfa= Do Re Mi Fa So and so on and so forth.
The car, job, house wife/husband are not the reward, God is.

It's good to know if you are a singer or if you are working with a chorus in school or something like that.  Other than that, you should at least know it as a musician.

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do

There's one for the minor as well, but I don't know it yet, LOL.
Real musicians play in every key!!!

I'd be very keen to learn the "solfa" for the minors.
It helps to know know these things. 8)

You Africans speak in solfege!

There is a free program to help you learn solfege and train your ear. It's actually pretty good.

It's my first time coming across sucha term..
It was an interesting read..
I will delve deeper when I've caught up in my schoolwork.
