one girl did his eye is on the sparrow and one boy played some song on the saxaphone
thanks 4 tha tips it may be my delivery/performance but do you have any song suggestions, gospel or r&b
I will not propose any song for you.
[I am also in the process of writing MY OWN song for another radio competition in South Africa]
However I can suggest a few things to focus on:
1) Choose a song U enjoy.
2) If U don't know it very well, do your homework & know it like you know your handwriting.
[these should be enough
confidence boosters for U 2
DELIVER an
ASTOUNDING PERFORMANCE.
3) While rehearsing, ask some1 ( preferably an objective party with some music performance background) to
watch U play the song.
---ask them for
feedback..
AREAS TO ASSESS:
-i)
Connection.
-----Did U feel/ connect with what your were playing/ singing?
-----We're U able to connect the audience with what U performed? [Don't play soul for an audience that likes country]
---[It's not a bad idea to try to know the judges beforehand & know what stlye they like. Especially if the judges will be the same in the following year. It's also good 2 review the rules 2 c what they are looking for.]
-----Did U make a personal connection with the audience? [look up 2 them; smile etc..like Elton John & many others]
(this is important because you are not performing for yourself. U'r trying to make the audience like your music as well as U
)
Your confidence, charisma, humility & connection should do the trick for you
