Indeed.

It brings more clarity to my hats (as if the Meinl Fast Hats or HHX Groove Hats needed more clarity, lol).

LGM,

So... i got this new toy and i think every drummer should have it.

In gospel music there is not too many percussionist... probably because you cant really play shout music with a cowbell and timbales... lol.

But... I think every drummer should have a few snaps, claps, 808 kicks, and the ocassional bongo/cowbell in their setup. This new toy of mine comes with some nice sounds but you can also sample sounds and/or loops.

It's a Roland SPD-S and its about 300 bucks new... Anyone else have it? Have question?

Check it out...

p.s. I do not work for roland but maybe i will get a check in the mail for marketing... lol.

Yeah man I got one when they came out, its on my list of top things every giging drummer should have. It does way more then just playing Latin percussion.
Mapex Drums, Grant Custom Basses, Carparelli Basses, Istanbul Cymbals,!

...yeah, the first time I saw it being used was when I was watching Sean Paul on SNL and his drummer was doing all of "that genre of music's" ;) popular contemporary sounds and voices.  He was also triggering Lil' John's "Yeaaaah".

I have the MPC 2000XL AND THE ONLY BAD THING, when playing live, IS THAT I CANT HIT IT WITH A STICK! LOL...

But you cant really compare the two... They are completely different animals. But... Yea. Its crazy when i get compliments on my machine rather than my playing now.. lol   :'( :'(   lol   ;D

I got one!!! I think it the one of the tightest pieces of gear ever!!! It sometimes trips people out when we're playing a song and then all off a sudden they get hit with a couple of 808's. One of My favorite patches is the "Perrfect" patch....this is foreal Ya'll...a worship patch...LOL!!! ( I would post pics....cause sometimes cats be lyin about what they got....but that ain't me. I'm just used to the easy upload thing that LGM doesn't have or I dont know how to work....1 of the 2.) ZK
