buying a nice but not 2 expensive keyboard

Hey guys. I need help with buying a keyboard. I want an up-to-date keyboard for a reasonable price....suggestions please? :-[

Well, my first keyboard was a Yamaha DGX 205, its about $300. Its 76 keys with a beautiful sounds. I now have a Roland Fantom X 8, but I still use it to practise on and for sampling. I sample more off that keyboard than I do any other.

Check out some of the Casios too...a good one will be about the same price. Even some of the cheaper Casios have good organ, ele piano, and piano sounds.

Well I really wanted something nice but for a cheap price...but I willing to pay round 700-800....any suggestions?? :-[

You might want to check musiciansfriend.com. They have good keyboard prices. They recently started putting some of their products on sale.

Yes get the Casio WK 3300; it has great sounds and features. I have it! Even though it is around $400 i think; i got it for $200 on sale.

That's not bad. I recently purchased a digital piano from musiciansfriend.com. The regular price was $900.00 and I got it on sale for $300.00!

Get at least 76 keys. If you are going to move it around all the time 61 is cool but I think 76 is better. Also its good because you have the onboard sequencer. My first keyboard was a yamaha. I also owned the psr series. I suggest the yamaha ypg or dgx series.

Casio keyboards are good but I think the yamahas in that same price range are better. Casio stepped it up with those Privia series but you can get a yamaha with just as good sounds and a sequencer. The strength of Casio are their dsp effects.

I got the Yamaha DGX 300 for around the 500.00 from Musicians friend.

Have you considered the Alesis Fusion?
the 61 keys board goes roughly for 700 @ musiciansfriend..

My 1st option would be a Casio wk3800...if U can tweak it (easy 2 learn!!!), you'll  be the happiest musician..the keys take a bit of getting used to..
