Need a new welcome song
« on: October 20, 2007, 03:35:15 PM »
Our church is a small family like church.  When we have visitors we all go around and hug everyone, while the choir is singing the visitor song.  Well we have sung it for seven years now and time for a change.  Wondering if any one has any medium to upbeat songs that their church sings for their visitors.  Please send lyrics and a wma file to pick up the tune.  Thank you in advance.

your church can sing the song that my church always sings to greet visitors and guests. I have to record the audio file, but i can post the lyrics.

You are welcome- title

You are welcome to come and worship with us
You are welcome to come and praise the Lord

Clap your hands, say amen, give all glory to Jesus

You are welcome, You are welcome, You are welcome to come and worship with us

Vamp

Sopranos: Come and worship with us
Altos: Come and worship with us
Tenors: Come and worship with us

[soprano sings their part first, then alto joins in, then tenors joins in and they all sing harmony]

You are welcome, you are welcome, you are welcome, you are welcome
You are welcome, you are welcome, you are welcome to come and worship with us [end of song]

It is actually a really good upbeat song.

When I first heard it, coming from another church it was different.  Now seven years later time for something new.l

Easy to love
unknown

Let the Jesus in me, Love the Jesus in you
Let the Jesus in me, Love the Jesus in you
it's so easy (it's so easy) So easy (Easy to love) Easy to love

Repeat

(Cause loving you)  Loving you is all I wanna do, Loving you is all I wanna do it's so easy
(it's so easy) So easy (It's easy to love)  Easy to love

Then you start all over.  While the song is being sung everybody goes and hug someone to welcome them to church or to even say hello to other church members.

Welcome to the villiage
http://www.allgospellyrics.com/index.php?sec=listing&id=873

you can substitute villiage with your church name... for example

welcome to st. james,
where the people of god,
are called to build his kingdom........

and another 1 would be welcome into this place
http://www.allgospellyrics.com/index.php?sec=listing&id=2704

but its slower

@ my old church we use to sing this welcome song:

upbeat tempo...

Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord
All ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord
Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth and forever more
From the rising of the sun until the down
The Lord's name is to be praise, He is worthy to be praise

Vamp
Give Him the glory, give Him the praise
Sing Hallelujah, exalt His name

Ending
The Lord's name is to be praise, He is worthy to be praise
