well I know it was a recent post where everybody was bashing everybody, and it seems as though certain people are into the "hype" that the kind of gear you choose makes you the player that you are, I've seen many companies being bashed with the products that they put out, but I think people need to understand that everything isn't for everybody, yes there are entry up to pro level kits, but does being able to afford a "pro" level kit make you a pro.... I have a lot of hands on experience with different companies drums, and I can truly say that I haven't heard that big of a difference in a $maple kit and a $3000 maple kit.....I mean its kinda ridiculous, yes some of the names are whack, but keep in mind that drums are trees.... as a matter of fact a lot of times when I make my sale points, I'll say, hey look 2 trees grew up right beside each other in to forest, 1 went to company A 1 went to company B, now they put the same hardware, same edges, same "care"...(yeah right) into the kits, company A advertises we're the best we did this and that, they tag it for $3000, company B is new, they tag it for $800, keep in mind same hardware same machinery, would compant B suck because they kept a good price point on their kit?
