Autotuner revisited..........
« on: September 09, 2007, 01:26:36 PM »
I was in Hope, Ar this past Friday and I just hapened to be listening to a country music station.  Sometimes you just fdon;t have a choice in some of these towns.  Anyway, this guy was singing and he sounded pretty good.  Doing some really nice runs and all.  Then I heard it..........that doggone autoner.  Yes, it has even infiltrated country music folks.  Next thing you know, you'll hear it one some rap, and they're just talking.
When you've done your very best, do even better.

it's the vocal equivalent to Guitar pedals... just a lil flavor...

Just think what hendrix woulda sounded like if he only play an accoustic or out-da-box strat.

it's been in country music for a long time, shania twain couldn't sell a record without it. it's in all music, just a fact of life. i wish some people used it more, lol.

Mane, Autotune has been a staple in country music for YEARS.  Before Autotune, they were using this thing called the Harmonizer from Eventide.
