Have you ever......Pt. 2(lol)

Had a keyboardist visit ur church and your own keyboardist let him play, then, everything just went wrong?  Ive never seen a keyboardist that had a mentality like a "drummer", dude did runs all through every song, his timing was off and threw the choir off but wanna look at me funny like i  right back lol, he played ToO loud, played the songs wrong, and played almost the whole time since he came in.  Me and my brother just looked at each other like........My bro tried to humble by lettin' him play still but in my head i was the complete opposite lol, i was like this ninja need ta get...........UP!!! Anybody had an experience like this?

You guys need to set ground rules about guest musicians.  I think it's cool to let them play or whatever, but the reason a lot of churches don't do that is because you end up with a situation like yours.  Even if what you have is not the best, making a change on the fly like that is always a gamble.  Could turn out great, could be a disaster.

Yep that's happend to me before, which is why I had to learn to play the keys myself. I started off on the drums and I hated when we had those situations. Most of the time we had to use a guest musician because our original musician was out....after getting bit a couple of times, I learned how to play keys. Now I am full time keys player but having experience on the drums has helped me be a better keys player.....

Yeah lil bro, we all have went through it. I just remove people politely when that mess begins to fester. But that's because I can in my chruch.

I guess that could be a good thing, at least he didn't completely wreck the service.  You'd be surprised what non musical people don't pick up on.
