I am sure this post will probably put me right up there with those "people who always have drama going on and drain people by talking about it", but for those who truly care about me, I felt compelled to share...
This morning, I was on my way to church and the Avalon ran hot. I waited a good 15 to 20 minutes and got out to put some antifreeze in it. When I twisted the cap on the engine, scalding hot water spewed from it and the cap went somewhere up under the car.
A church member passed by and saw me and took me on to GPHMBC.
After church, one of my choir members (a mechanic) said "it's probably just a loose hose or something simple. Let's go look at it.
He jumps in his truck. Me and my mom jump in her car.
We all arrive at the scene of the accident and prepare to see what we can to do recover the cap (with a broom handle or something) and get it off the road enough for him to diagnose what was really wrong.
REMEMBER...I START A NEW JOB TUESDAY...KEEP THIS IN MIND
This white SUV....
comes flying in the lane alongside the emergency lane (where we were) and SLAMS into my choir member's truck...of course, totaling it!!!!
She also hits another car, which in turn goes UNDER my gold avalon and totals my baby. Actually, TOTAL may not be the right word...judge for yourself...
You can probably see my drummer on the side (in the striped shirt) saying "Dude...that used to be your car".
Long story made short, the Avalon is a thing of the past. So is my choir member's truck who was coming to help me so of course now I feel absolutely awful.
If you are one of those people who never has any problems or drama occur in your life, you should be thankful. Many of us who don't WANT it seem to end up at its doorstep, often times without even trying. We don't bother people...we go out of our way for others...invest MUCH into making life easier and more comfortable for others...and in return we come up on the losing end.
So if you're not having problems or drama, don't brag....just count your blessings and be thankful.
