How do you battle a three-week old battle with insomnia with a new job that Starts Tuesday?

Somebody?

Anybody?

Jesus?  Mary?  Joseph?  Ike Turner?

You don't...when you start to settle into the new job, you will most likely get tired and sleepy at work.  Once everything settles I'm betting you will start sleeping when you get a chance during the correct hours at night...it's probably the anxiety of starting a new job that maybe is keeping you awake.

Relax, Relate, Release--

If that doesn't work, read the Bible in bed...you'll fall right to sleep(the devil is a master at that trick). LOL

As many times as you've referred to your church as the "Funeral Parlor," maybe you should try to watch a tape of one of your Sunday services.

....just a suggestion.  If that doesn't work, eat a tub of ribs!

Something is going on....perhaps you need to visit a doctor. I have been battling insomnia for about 4 months. I went to the doctor and he said when you don't sleep something is going on. Perhaps a sleep study will help you.

One of the things he asked was "What are you thinking about when you go to sleep....Is your mind clear?" Try to free your mind.

WATCH A VIDEO OF GPHMBC?  Doubles actually expects me to watch myself "in action" directing and not get excited?  Durst he?  NO WAY JOSE!!

Something going on, SisterT?  I think so.  You're right.

The headaches and blood pressure have given me the spooky thought of "people with hbp die in their sleep" and it makes me not wanna go.  You hit it right on the head!

RIGHT ON THE HEAD!

This is very true! I had a hard time sleeping and then I took a sleep study. After that my doctor gave me a new program and medication (which is actually vitamins) and I haven't had trouble since. You may want to try that. There are many vitamins and herbs that you can take that will help you without  causing you to become an addict. (Sleep MD) is one of those meds that's entirely made of vitamins and herbs and its non-habit forming. This is just my two cents.  ;)

Find you a pool! Do about 20 laps. On the way from the pool stop at Churches or Hartz chicken. Eat ye all of it. Take a hot shower, turn off all noise making objects, make your house completly silent. Sit in the middle of your bed indian style, in the dark, and close your eyes and dont think about nothing.

If that doesnt work, put in Norah Jones and the Handsome Band, that DVD does it for me all the time.

He don't get to turn his hands palm up with his thumbs connected to his middle finger and chant "WOOSAH" or nothing like that?

Seriously, I had a major battle with insomnia for about six months. Here's the medicine I used: Proverbs 3:24, Psalm 4:8, and Psalm 127:2. I believed these promises. I brought them to God in prayer. I spoke them. I ran the devil off with them. Even when it seemed like God's promises weren't working, I defied my symptoms, and kept believing. The result? Eight years now of wonderful baby-style sleep! He's faithful.
