I was told not close to as good as Bob Gatzen's
You can check out some of Bob Gatzen's tuning concepts at the Evans website in the media room. That guy knows his stuff when it comes to tuning. He did something while tuning the snare drum in one of those clips that completely blew my mind (and it was really simple). I had one of his first videos on tuning, but my god bro lifted it...thief.
My goal as a musician is to be better than myself.

Dawg, setting up is personal but at the same time, if you have different drummers play at your church, you'll need a versatile type of set up.  I can tell you that at my church it's somewhat versatile.  A lot of guys can't play the toms how I have them set up now. LOL  So, I'll be redoing the set up at church and I'll try to post a video or pictures whenever I can get a hold of J_kay and his great camera with the million mega pixels. LOL

The October Issue of Modern Drummer talks about set ups.  I suggest you pick it up when it hits the bookshelfs. ;)

As for the Resonant heads, wait about a week to put them on the drums.  If you put brand new Batters and Resos. at the same time, it will be a tuning nightmare.  Seriously.  I went through it on a full house Sunday Morning Service.  I spent all morning tuning and retuning between songs and my pastor talking and giving the church announcements.  It was a true headache.  Then I read on an article that's located in the "Must Read" Thread at the top of the page that what I did is a "No, No".  LOL

When you buy them, you really don't have to change 'em out for about a year.  Even though you don't hit them, they stretch.  I have to change the one's on the church kit next month but it really needs it now.

my question is, what do you do when you have ALreaDY put both new batter and resonant heads on a drum(for me the 14" tom) on the same day?  will you have to buy another batter or resonant or both or can you just take off the resonant or whatever and leave it off for about a weak?

You'll just have to deal with 'em.  What is the point of buying new heads when you've already bought some?  Just get ready to tune.....retune.....and tune some more. LOL  I went through that and now you will.  I hope that you seated the heads and that you tuned up to stretch them out a lil' bit.
