I heard that the Shure drum sets don't sound half bad!. I have yet to hear one but, I have heard from a few people that they sound decent! ;) ::)

I saw a guy on YouTube playing one actually! He had a Shure kick Badge! Vid quality was bad so I couldnt really tell how the kit sounded!

I do not like the Audix F-90's anymore.  I want the Senny's too. :'(  We're having that clipping issue. :-\ >:( >:(

Nothing wrong with the mics you have the wrong board and people contrling them.
Any pre-amps?

hmmmm.... fix the cause... the solution is fine fo the price. A good engineer would make it do what it do.

If you really want to make it happen get a coule ribbon mics... but again they will be just as limited if the knowledge and skillset and proper accessories equipent is not in place. Master the gadgts you have first before trying to upgrade. That way you won't create a expensive lesson for yourself.

The Senheissers are still better man.  The Mackie board is fine but will be upgraded.  The $35 - $40k Sound upgrade to the church has already begun.  I'm already looking at new mic's for the kit. ;)
