j_kay owns the G Maple 6x14.  Ask him about it.  He put a Yamaha Groove Wedge on it too.

Dude I just played on a DW 14" x 6" maple....and wow...I loved it....do you know how a solid shell would sound and what's the difference between the regular DW maple and a solid maple shell?? Thanks. GB.

man whatever. ::)  You know that you would've bought the all new Bentley Coupe instead of that Chrysler 300 C Hemi.  The only reason you don't have it is because you know for a fact that it wouldn't look right in front of your church with the congregation wondering why they're still in a small temple sitting on wooden pews with no cushions.  They're already wondering why your kit has a brand new snare drum with a crazy looking logo and brand new, old looking cymbals.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Don't you just love the church's elders.  "Why is it that the Pastors son has all of these new things for that loud drumset and we're still sitting on wood?" LOL

Testimony Service at E-R's Church -  Brother Roger's Testimony.... "I was praying last night and asked God to heal my back pains and I saw a vision of me sitting down in church with a big bright spotlight shining towards the drumset and an Angel pointing outside to the parking lot.  Yall help me pray for understanding."   ;D ;D ;D ;D

Who told you what I had sitting in my garage?

Aiiight GMS... I must admit bud, you got me better than anyone else has.  :'( :'( Funny thing is, that Bentley Coupe has been looking real pretty to me lately. However, I am one of the only drummers on here that uses all of my own personal gear at church. That includes drums, mics, computers, recorders etc.

See and what the Pastor's Son says to those questioning is this: Read Malachi 3:8-11. Bring ALL your tithes & offerings to the storehouse and He will open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing that I wont have room enough to receive. So take God at His Word and Believe!  ;D ;D ;D

What year is your Cobra and what mods have you done? Tell me that and I will tell you whether or not your car could smoke mine.

First thing. a 95 GT with 240 BHP will not run 0-60 in 5.6. aint gonna happen. Not with the mods that you listed. My friend has a 96 Cobra and we are about even. I know a few things about cars. Just a few.  ;) PM is always open.

6.5 Seconds Bruh... My bad! It originally had about 220 Horses but with the mods id say it runs about 230 Horses in actuality!! The 300 C runs Just under Six which is good for a car that heavy, Plus you have 340 Horses under the hood..lol..

Easy - the difference between the 'regular' DW Maple and a solid maple shell (whether it's Noble and Cooley, Pearl, DW, Dunnett, et al) is the construction.  With the solid shell, it's just one solid piece of wood steam bent and often reinforcement rings are added to it.  With the 'regular' DW Maple, it's a Maple shell, but it's constructed in plies.

As for the tone, it is said to be more resonant than its ply counterpart. As for me, I don't have to have a solid shell, because I feel that you can get an awesome tone out of each type.

I want to know what that Walnut 6x13 sounds like and I really, really think that Mapex should add a 6x14 Maple or Walnut or both to the Black Panther line up.

Here are more real world photos:

And, no, I don't own this snare drum.   ;D
