WATCH HOW AARON DESTROYS THE KIT AT THE VERY END. I DONT KNOW, I THINK HE MIGHT HE BE A LITTLE BETTER THAN GERALD. DON'T GET ME WRONG ALL THOSE DRUMMERS ARE SICK, BUT AARON'S POWER AND HEAVYNESS IS UNREAL!

You're basing your opinion of Aaron > Gerald on this clip?

Fill's that last 90 measures shouldn't be used to determined one drummer being superior to others. Aaron did represent, but it was clear that Gerald Heyward was holding back(At least in this clip).

Comments like that are indicative of the mentality of  the "Lick Culture" who judge a musician's ability by how capable he/she is of ooooo & aaaaaah'ing other musicians(You know many musicians are cool until they see other musicians walk into the room/building).

How something like fills came to determine the greateness(or lack theirof) of a musician ... I just don't know...

WHAT I SAID BEFORE, I WASN'T BASSING IT ON THE LAST FILL AARON DID. I'VE LOOKED OVER ALL HIS PERFORMANCES WITH USHER AND GIDEON BAND, AND I THINK HE'S A LIL BIT BETTER. DON'T GET ME WRONG GERALD IS STILL THE GODFATHER, BUT AARON IS DEADLY.

Well, I'm not saying their aren't any flaws in Gerald's playing, I'm just saying that Gerald was definitely 'in the pocket' compared to what Aaron Spears was doing. I've seen Gerald open up A LOT more than that, and their is a clip on youtube with Aaron, Gerald, & BFM that showcases what he's capable when he's blazing chops...

Sooo, I'm not making any excuses, I'm stating an obvious fact.

That's because most didn't buy it.  That's my guess.  There is so much stuff on youtube.com, you can see almost anything.  I have it, just in case you all were wondering based on my reply.
