« on: June 25, 2007, 05:27:00 PM »
all yall experts. I have to play an S90 at church soon. Is there any way I can layer trumpet/horns with strings. I don't wanna split the board. I'm not familiar with this board as I usually am the organ/ 2nd keyboard player so I need all the help I can get

I have done it b4, but each time i have to get the instruction book to follow the directions,,its a bit complicated..i normally just put one of my sound modules to get more then one sound.  But, 3 sounds can be done all the way  across the board.

Sorry, if u don't have the book we can get together on a call and i will read the directions to ya. I m me, if u like.

An easy way to layer is to select one of the preprogrammed performance tones. Then press F3. Screen will come up that shows you if the sounds are split or layered. It will have "note" on the right side. If the black bar on both sounds are half and half that means its split. If they overlap they are layered. You can change the range and  the sounds by moving the cursor and using the inc dec buttons. I usually do a factory reset later on. Other than that layer can be a pain.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

Basically when you use a performance that is already layered. If you choose performance--pre1--bank A--number 3 you will have the grand+dyno layer. When you press F3 after choosing this sound a screen will come up and you can just change the sounds using the cusor and in/dec buttons. If you look at the sceen the black bars on the right overlap which means they are layered.

That is the easiest way to layer or split. If you want to split just choose a performance tone that is split already.
