This has happened to me a lot... really because I am too early with fills.... I am not that great at some of the fills that I attempt, and try to go for the gusto, and it is noticeable... LOL. no way out of it if everyone hears it, and its obvious that you messed up.... My problem is that I will STOP all together.... LOL. thats not good either.

Nah the choir was behind the beat the whole time and if you listen no ones following the drummer not even the bassist... It sounds like the bassist is trying to get the beat from the choir and not the drummer. All these factors came to a train wreck when the drummer tried to fill! They should have mic'd the choir and gave the musicians monitors!

I have to admit, the drummer did rush the fill, but he came out on the same time he started with. Now mics and monitors would've alleviated the obvious delay problem, but I still say the fill was a bit rushed.
