Hi LGM Family,
I have a slight problem. We are getting ready for our Annual Choir Day on Sunday. We have been practicing for about 2 weeks preparing for this occasion. We are having our final rehearsal on tonight and Saturday. Only one of my directors has been attending rehearsals. The other one finally came by on yesterday and picked up the CD of the songs - I'm only doing 3. He told me that he could not promise that he would be able to participate but he would try.
Well he told the other director that he really wasn't feeling one of the songs. He feels like we should only do 1 song since it is our Anniversary. Out of the 3 songs 1 is the processional, one for devotion and one when we come down out of the choir stand. I don't think that is too much, maybe I am wrong.
It seems like every time we have to do combined choirs this director has some sort of problem with it. I have also told the choir and directors, I don't pick these songs without some soul searching and much prayer. And yes I do take their suggestions.
I have been noticing lately that most of the songs that I choose this director seems to have a problem with them. It would be nice if he could give the other director a break.
Last week when we had rehearsal I called to remind him but he didn't return my call. I called twice. I feel like you know that you have a job to do and if you are truly committed and concerned you would make it your business to be at rehearsal or make arrangements to get with the musician to learn the song.
Am I asking to much from a director?
