What is it becasue i am tring to buy new studio stuff and i need to know the best program for recording. Is reason the best instrument one or is it something else.

I think it mainly has to do with you budget.

I use Cakewalk SONAR 6 to record with. That is my personal preference, although the program ProTools is more widely used among industry professionals.

I dont use instrument programs a whole lot, but Reason is very popular and one of the best out there.

I agree Pro Tools is probably the way to go, but it your budget cant do it.

then you can use Cubase which is what i use or Adobe Audition

my personal preference also is Cubase
