I hit the post button too early before...My fault :-\ :-[ :)...Check that puppy out man!! Great sounding QUALITY kit for and affordable price!! I getting it as soon as I find a job!!! I want it so bad but ill be patient!! :D....

 Hey If Id had to pick between the PDP and the PEARL, Id say the PDP hands down!!.. It is YOUR decision Bass,  Remember this though when you sleep tonight.... Tour Custom, Stage Custom, Yamaha, Yamaha, Yamaha, Musashi!!......lol...... ;D :)

Just like you are a fan of Meinl, Im a fan of Yammy's... Im not saying that there the only company to choose from, If that was the case then I wouldnt have given him the link.. :-\... If someone offered me a Sonor or a DDRUM kit, or anything else for that matter, I would take it in a heart beat.!!.. EC Its was only a joke...  :-\ :(....  I have been playing Yamaha every since I was young man... thats all Im acustomed to... I do admit that I need to venture out and see what other companies have to offer...  :)

Well out of all the brands, the PDP is probably the best in that range, but to be honest they are all about the same; blends of more than one type of wood, yes the PDP cx is maple but its not the maple or birch on the top line sets.  Anyway if that is all you can afford definitely go with the PDP.

PDP looks tempting.real talk.. but im a Pearl man (boy) .. I got this 6piece pearl export set that look jus like the PDP but its black that fades to red...on Layaway..But pearl export sounds great man

It is funny that you mentioned that EC.... This past weekend I saw a Ludwig ON SALE for $1100... :o :-\...It was 100% maple but I cant see paying that much for a Ludwig!! They dont even have a Website do they?.... :-\
