has anyone done let God arise by kurt carr

I want to do this in my church but the song is so different I am a little concerned how it will be received
does anyone out there have any experiences to share concerning this song

how was it received at first and then after it was learned?

I love it but the president of my youth choir hates it

but I still want to do it
lets face it we are ministering to the congregation as well as to ourselves

how is it so different? If i remember right, it's just a medley of congregational choruses, no?

no not at all
it is a tango
its gospel lyrics and harmonies set to a tango underpinning
he even has an accordian playing on the track

straight up agentina in the house
even the soloist arrangement is crazy I think he has 5 leads singing solos

hey...well, right now my church is getting ready to do this song in a gospel concert next week...and let me tell you it's a very challenging song for one...and second of all as a musician it's a different song...it's more complex...it's hard at first but once you stick at it for a while...it'll become second nature like the rest of the songs...I just want to wish you the best!

let me ask you would you recomend this song for a mass choir or a youth choir

i am thinking mass
i doubt the youth could really understand this song

what do you think?

I think ya'lla re talking about 2 different songs....

There's Psalms something and then there is Let God Arise and His Enemies be Scattered
