Help me choose fam...
« on: April 17, 2007, 02:35:52 PM »
I can't decide which kit to get... the GMS CL series or the Ddrum Dominion Ash Pocket set.Help me choose fam. I know it's personal preference, but a few responses could help me better make a decision. Oh, and no I'm not jocking big brother Jeremy, I just came across a real good deal on the CL series and can get them in the same price range as the Ddrum kit.

...as much as I love GMS Drums, I still have not heard the CL Series.  I have heard the ddrum Pocket and it's great but I would have to get a 10" add on.

...what colour is the ddrum??  Is it the Aneheim Orange or the loud green? lol  That's a tough one man.  I like 'em both.

Actually the Redburst finish on the Ddrum kit is sort of pulling me that way. Another reason I've thought about purchasing the Ddrum kit is because it's a different set. I personally like the sound of birch over maple, so getting a maple kit of any brand would be me settling anyway. From the things I've read about ash wood I can get a sound similar to both birch and maple (don't know how true that is). I tapped on the Ddrum Ash kit a store but it's hard to make a judgement based on the stock heads (yuck!).

...Yezzir!  You clowned yourself on that purchase but you did get a pretty good deal.  Either way, I would be happy with either one of the two.  Congrats on your new investment SugarBear.

I'll be adding a Birch kit to my collection. (you know which one.  ;D) just as soon as I sell my old Tama kit and my Zildjian cymbals...Ya, $600 for my ddrum kit shipped to my door wasnt bad at the time. not bad at all.
