I'm not condoning J Moss, but it sounds like they didn't do a good job of planning out that concert. They should have found out what the artist wanted before putting him on the bill and deciding from there whether they could afford him or not instead of putting him down for the program, finding out later they couldn't afford him and him not showing up as a result.

Myself and the choir I sing with are supposed to bke baccing Timothy when he comes to Myrtle Bkeach the weekend after next.  I pray that we don't just stand around when we're supposed to bke singing/ministering.

WOW! Timothy Wright is one of my favorite artists and its sad here that he acted that way.  Anyway, I've learned and still learning that we should not put any confidence in people.  Even the Word of God says that we should not put any confidence in people  Or let me say that we should not have such a great expectation for people because when they do not achieve to our level of expectation then we get greatly disappointed and distressed.  That what you went through just reminds me that our sure expectation is from the Lord.  Thank God that He never disappoints us.

However, I am still amazed.... :o

Some minitries cheat these artist and thats why they act this way.  Here in NC their is and choir that was asked to come to a church and sing for a convention. The director gave the pastor a set price and he agreed.  Well needless to say the choir sang and didn't get paid and the very next year the same pastor asked the choir to come sing again.

I AGREE THAT THESE ARTISTS/PREACHERS SHOULD BE PAID FOR THEIR MINISTRY, BECAUSE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT THE MUSICIANS
RECEIVED A SHARE OF AN OFFERING BECAUSE IT WAS THEIR JOB TO SPEND ALL DAY WORSHIPPING GOD WITH THEIR MUSICAL ABILITY, BUT THE PROBLEM IS THE ARROGANCE, AND THE ATTITUDE THAT SOME OF THESE ARTISTS HAVE AND CARRY AS SOUL WINNERS THRU MUSIC.  ONE OF THE KEY THINGS THAT WILL DETERMINE WHETHER A GOSPEL ARTIST OR PREACHER SUCCEED, OR FAIL WITH GOD IS THE PURITY OF THEIR MOTIVES.   IT'S ONE THING TO BE TALENTED, BUT IT'S ANOTHER WHEN IT COMES TO BEING CALLED, APPOINTED, AND ANOINTED.

I just got confirmation yesterday that we will bke baccing Timothy on April 27-28 in Myrtle Beach. If any of you are in that area come checc it out.  I won't bke hard to spot.  You'll see why if you're there.  ;) :D

I'm new to this forum and I'm a beginning I mean beginning Organist and a Preacher, reading some of the comments If you disagree with the way things was handled your job is to pray for the way you feel first and pray for Rev. Wright instead of gossiping about what happen and how you disaprove of what was done, also songs cannot get you in Heaven, but the word of God can.  The bible tells us everything is going down but the word of God.  We must be careful that what somebody else do don't cause us to miss out on Heaven.
