A Great Book For Adult Keyboard Learners -- Practice Strategies
« on: November 25, 2006, 12:56:09 PM »
I just picked up a wonderful book at the library yesterday that might give some you ideas about learning the keyboards and practicing. It is called Making Music at the Piano:  Learning Strategies for Adult Students, by Barbara English Maris. Published by Oxford University Press.

She is on the same wavelength as I am when it comes to adult music learning.  It not only has given me new ideas for working with my students, but even new ideas for my own music learning (and I've been at it for 40 years).  But that's the beauty of music, there is ALWAYS something new to learn.

Thanks for the tip!  I have one adult piano student at the present time (beginner).  I'll look for this book in at my local library.

Be Blessed!
