...I think that Sabian's B8 and B8 Pro's are the elite church cymbal.  Anything after that is over the budget.  The CB 700 or 200 or 1000's are the regular line. ;D


Sidenote:  If Pastor's and M.O.M's were really studying the Word of God and analyzing it, all drummers across the board would have great sounding cymbals in church.  I've yet to read where it says "Praise him with trash can lid sounding cymbals." :-\

Psalm 150.5 - "Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals." 

N.I.V. - praise him with the clash of cymbals,
           praise him with resounding cymbals

Really this is a big question!!!! You should have asked "What brand of cymbals do most gospel drummers dream about using?" Not everyone is blessed to have a say or request the best equipment and like JFUNKY is saying is very true. Its sad that Churches will buy the most high end keys and buy the crapiest drums!!!

I had to play on a Tama that had to be like from the early 70's last month..lol... And they had Schimtars...Those cymbals dont sound like ANTHING!!! I had my pedal and my snare so they got me through...  :-\ :)

SABIAN!.. but I dnt see what the big deal is about Zildjian and Sabian. I mean, both companies are owned by the Zildjian family! lol

I like Sabian, Paiste and Meinls. Right now at my church I got the Sabians AAX but I think next time my church buys me cymbals I will be getting the HHX. My AAX's sound a little too bright for my taste. God Bless.

Gettin that money I see.. :)...Its hard for me to find a job, because I tried to apply a Guitar Center and they said that I needed to be 18 to be hired.. :-\... That really did suck because I think they get discounts there...lol.. ;D..

Sabian or Zildjian are the favourites.

The majority of my cymbals are sabian but my china is Zildjian, so im into both.

i had my eyes on the HHX for a good lil' while now, i havent played any of them except the O-Zone.  but i know some of you just about played all of them and i was wonderin' which crashes n rides out of the line do you prefer or think is the best soundin'?
