Depressing Christians

Anyone have people you know that ALWAYS are dewelling on the negative and never on the positive???

Lord, Yes!

These are some of those "church folks" that are so "saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost AND the fire, and got a mind to run on ANYHOW" that they can't remember what God has done for them when they weren't saved.  And somehow, to them, everything you do is going to send you straight to Hell.

People that do that suck the life out of me!

There's no liberty and freedom there, only bondage. They got a big dose of religeon and a small dose of Christ.

It took me sometime to mature out of this mindset. All of us can put this hat on. There must be happy medium in between understanding where God brought us from. When we have the opportunity to witness to a brother/sister we must be wise in how we communicate our concerns. The Lord CONTINUES to show mercy to me so I strive to be merciful to others.

There is a time for being honest with people. Of course this isn't always in season but I'm reminded of Paul. He tells us that one plants. One waters but God gives the increase. Sometimes God can being sending us messages of warning through people who we think aren't showing the empathy that we are due. I see this issue as complex. I just thank God that I adhered to some warnings. I got plenty of welts from the things I ignored. It's a two way street.

My question is, is this a ploy for attention, or are people like this not because they want to be, but because they are bound by it, and really need to be freed?
