New Snare Wires

I own a 13 x 7 7ply snare i need new snare wires im can't decide which?

puresound sound custom 20 or 24 strand or the puresound super 30

the 20 or 24 strand can choke a 13' snare. the 20 strand won't!

I have Puresound's 16 strand Custom model on my Yamaha AJ signature snare.  To my ears, the 16 does the job.  They cam with a 14 strand, but I wanted to get the stock wires off.  I wanted to get the 20 Twisted model, however, I felt that it would drastically change the characteristic tone of that snare drum.  The Custom 20 model will be fine, just watch the tension on your snares (as with all other snare drums). 

FWIW, the AJ is an 8 ply Beech shelled drum.

....yeah, Jkay's snare sounds dope with the 16 strands.  My Co Pastor thought the same thing when he was leaving church during a rehearsal and had to come inside and go behind the kit to look at what he had heard.

Thanks for the advice but i still don't know which to pick the 20 strand the 24 or the 16 im lookin for the best choice to go wit my snare

Dude... i just put the 24s on my 12x7...... and its sooooooooo on Tight.... I love them.....
