BX,

Your explanation for earrings being gay doesn't apply to all cultures. African men wore gold hoop earrings that signified wealth, status and power. You can be sweeter than kool aid without earrings..lol

Maybe you should wipe off your glasses.... because that is NOT what I said. I said thats what my father told my brother. I also said that ..... well you got eyes, you can see...

I dont think that was the question....

But anyways, I 100% agree that if a person decides to do their own thing, that God will still forgive the BELIEVER.... I dont think that was ever an argument.

Because its GAY....
Thats the same thing my brother asked, and thats the answer my dad gave him. But, I do believe in doing research, we found that culture and traditioned deemed ear piercing to be something that women did, and in those times, it was un common of men.

And further more, Africans make up a PORTION of cultura/ history. And further more from that, I speaking of biblical people.

Of course not every man that wears earrings is Gay but it in our western culture it did start in both the punk Rock and gay communities.

by the way, I do have my left ear pierced, but I don't usually wear an earring... unless of course I want to shock my kids...  ;)

Man, you were absolutely correct!!  ::)

And, THIS is the type of cat that Hammer and Furious are talking about.  8)

Sad we agree with them.....HAHAHA

okay, do i sense an underhanded putdown or what ?

personally,I'm not really for it for either sex.

why would it be wrong for a man to powder his nose, or wear a skirt ? there is a thing called gender distinction which has become so blurred no wonder the young folks are becoming increasingly confused.

I believe we can wear jewelry in moderation without mutilating our bodies (which are the temple of the HG) for the purpose of ornimentation.
cutting holes in the body(piercing) is technically considered a form of mutilation. how can we say it's okay to puncture the ears and not the lip, nose, brow, etc- where does it stop ?

Are you aware that the children of Israel wore earrings....Males, Females, and Children....It's when they decided to take them out that they got themselves in trouble...What did they do...Built a Idol God....I will keep mines in my ear until God says to do different and so far it hasnt stopped me from hearing from God. Be blessed
I'm destined for greatness!!!

No I'm not saying to follow the personal examples of Pagan kings however I brought out what Africans did to show that every culture didn't see earrings as an effeminate spirit. My Bad BX. Your father and them had it wrong.. For the record we must destroy this notion of Western culture civilizing black folk so that they could get to know Jesus. That is totally false. In fact I'm in the process of ordering a documentary that highlights African influence in Christianity. When I get it I will tell you guys where to get it. Ever heard of the Cushites, Ethopians, and Moors.. They are in your bible... Out of the root of Jessie came our savior. Bathsheba was a woman of color.. I'm let that alone..

History totally ignores the fact of Africans who wrote their own epistles and were  "civilized" before European nations. Civilization began in Africa not Europe. Europeans ended up conquering Africa. SO it explains why we know little about African civilization. Africa is made out to be "uncivilized" devoid from Christianity. The word FALSE keeps appearing in this reply because those sentiments are FALSE. There that word goes again...

I believe everyone has a right to voice there opinions. I respect everything you said. Its all love man. Be blessed

i understand what you are saying in regards to african influence in the bible and civilization. the eunuch that phillip baptized was african and went back to africa and evangelized all of ethiopia. to this day much of it is chritianized.
having said that FS, all of us are human and just like the children of Israel, they too backslid and returned to pagan worship. are you saying that these african kings were christian ?
