Live Jill Scott CD....

man I was just listening to it.....I haven't heard it in a while.....Erik Tribbett is the man.......his groove is tight...he gots that flava.....does anybody know if he'll ever get back to playing drums???

I think it's live in DC.....it's black and red with her picture on the front....every bass player and drummer should have that one in you library...

Yes he's still playing he was in chicago playing with kelis in november When I talk to him earlier in december he was coming in from out of the country playing for somebody he will be on tour with mario i think this mounth or next mounth so be looking out .

I really didnt think it was that great! Im hearing things about Angie Stone's live CD...Anybody know about it?

Yah....its tru.....Eric Tribbett sounds nyce on that BUT honestly i think that
Eric "Booty" Green did a better job in Chi-town...
The flavour was better.....it was better musically and it was just straight up Nyce.....

Booty is nice.  I like what he brings to the table.  He has quite a bit of flavor and all that jazz....  BUT!  Erik is one of my top 4 cats so that aughta let you know where I stand on this matter.

yeah I agree Booty is nice but I would prefer Erik Tribbett over him easily......He is just sick man.....it's not even the licks he does its the lil stuff....(different hi-hat patterns...etc..)....He really makes me feel the music....he got soul....I haven't heard anyone that sounds like him....I think Erik is way more musical in his playing than any other philly cat...well Brian Frasier Moore...but even then...I like Erik's pocket more...you heard L' is gone on Musiq Soulchild album??

I personally think Erik Tribbet is more musical...more mature in his playing than Booty...

ok sabe and funky im sorry....to rephrase my question....is the jill scott cd gospel...say what ya'll want but i only listen to gospel call me one minded or whatever but christ delivered me..i dont serve 2 masters only one and thats the GOSPEL of christ...*smiles*...i love u guys and theres NOTHING ya'll can do about it!!!!

...no it's not a "Gospel CD" and I don't own it, anymore.  I do remember what Erik did on that CD and he grooved hard on it.  Now, me personally, I don't listen to "Gospel" all day.  I listen to jazz, latin jazz, fusion and some CCM.  I'm drawing ideas from different music forms so that I can develop my sound.  So anyway, why are you apologizing to me for?  State your mind within the "Freedom of Speech and LGM" limits. ;D  God bless you brother.  You're on your way.
